We're a guide service, the key word is service. Besides, you came to climb, not trudge under a massive pack. While we do our best to ensure the safety and success of every trip there are certain things outside of our control. One of the big things is altitude of both the objectives and the places people visit us from. While we encourage people to work on their fitness we are here to help take some of the load off and help make a greater chance of success.
For our overnight trips where deep snow, heavy loads of food, tents, and other climbing gear may be needed we offer porter services. Younger guides in training will meet the day before or beginning of the first day of your trip to take the equipment needed and carry it up to the campsite so you can enjoy a little bit easier hike in and they can gain some familiarity with the area. We can't hike the miles for you but we can at least make them a little less strenuous so you can focus on the climb.
Porter services are based on the number of days and weight outlined below:
$175 up to 50 lbs one way or $400 roundtrip.
$225 up to 75 lbs one way or $500 roundtrip.
$500 each way for any load over 75 lbs.
